Le Vo Tuan (B.1981)
Born in 1981 in Quang Binh. Graduated from Hue Fine Arts College Upon his second
year study, he was grated a scholarship for one year at Columbia University (New York,
USA). It came as recognition of his personal way of expressing his feelings, the fierce
boldness of his brush strokes and colors. His inspiration comes from very diverse
subjects. In 2005 a series of paintings in which his sharp and harsh strokes rose
straight as arrows in a gloomy dark sky, screaming for the plight of poverty, showing
people gasping in a stifling atmosphere. In this extremely narrow space, individuals are
seeking to escape misery, in vain. Show in Washington DC, these paintings were
acclaimed by visitors. Other pieces would also depict love, happiness, and friendship.
His works were chosen and collected in France, England, Singapore, Canada, Italy, USA,
Indonesia and Vietnam.
